About

Alan Rosenberg - Works of ArtAlan Rosenberg - Works of Art is a gallery that deals in fine and applied arts from 1945 to 1965. Within this period our areas of specialization include American sterling silver, glass from Finland, as well as paintings and works on paper by important but lesser-known artists. We also offer other outstanding works of 20th century art and design, including ceramics, enamels, furniture, prints and photographs.

We are the only 20th century decorative arts firm specializing in post-war American silver hollowware and flatware. We are particularly interested in works by Allan Adler, Alphonse La Paglia, Frederick Miller, Ronald Pearson and John Prip, in addition to the modern style wares produced by the large silver makers such as Gorham, Tiffany and the International Silver Company.

Our inventory of Finnish glass includes many fine examples by Timo Sarpaneva, Kaj Franck, Oiva Toikka and Nanny Still with a particular emphasis on works from the 1960's.

In the area of fine art we focus on paintings and works on paper by artists of the 1940's and '50's who were influenced by Surrealism, such as Eugene Berman, Carlyle Brown, Gray Foy and Edward John Stevens, Jr..
